This spell simply takes a book of leaf silver or gold and enchants it so that the leaves behave as if they were parchment. They take ink, and are flexible and so forth. They retain the resistance to heat of their original material, but if melted the enchantment is broken. Spells to Invent: Nuada's Arm, MuTe 15 Self, Conc. This spell requires a metal or stone sculpture that resembles an arm. If the sculpture is placed on the magus' body and the spell is cast, the Magus may use the arm as though it were his own. The strength, dexterity and quickness of the arm are limited by the material and delicacy of the sculpture, but may not exceed the magus' in any case. Gold limits the strength/delicacy to 5, silver to 4, iron/steel to 3, baser metals to 1, higher rock (marble, etc) to 0, and baser rocks to -2. Dexterity is also limited by the accuracy/detail of the sculpture. Any arms over three (including the natural 2, if applicable), are likely to cause a diminuition in control over all arms, with penalties and such determined by the story guide. This spell is specifically designed to be cast with 1 hand, and the arm may - if constructed of silver or gold - be used to make arcane gestures and offset casting penalties for one handed casting in some cases, and if the magus is sufficiently practiced with the extra arm. When the spell is dropped, the arm remains in the last position to which it was shifted. ============================================================================
